Ronastreet Step Repair – Rapid strength gain
Ronastreet Step Repair – Rapid strength gain is a pre-packed polymer modified mortar designed for rapid strength gain and low temperature use. Within one hour of mixing (depending on temperature) the material will have gained sufficient strength to take impact and abrasion from foot traffic. Supplied with a primer, RonaStreet Step repair can be placed as thin as 6mm. It can be applied onto sound concrete and screed.
The speed of RonaStreet Step Repair makes it ideal for use in airports, stations, factories, warehouses, shops, flats and goods depots and in all other areas where speed and rapid strength gain id of paramount importance.
- Waterproof and frostproof
- Ultra-rapid strength gain
- Traffic within 1-2 hours
- Low temperature working down to –10ºC
- Pre-packed for ease of use and site control
- Established track record since 1981
- Economical and durable
- Thin section application from 6mm
Mechanically prepare the area to be repaired to remove any loose, unsound and friable material. Saw cut 6mm deep minimum around the periphery of the area. Remove oil, grease and other contamination which may impair adhesion. Vacuum clean to remove dust and debris.
Damp the surface with clean water. Soak very porous surfaces for 24 hours. Remove all standing and surplus water leaving the surface damp.
Dry mix the powders and sands, close to the area of application adding water, see label, to provide the required consistency
Apply the mortar to the required depth onto the damp surface, compact and close the surface with a float or trowel. Where the total repair thickness exceeds 50mm, lay in more than one layer of roughly equal thickness, ensuring each is not less than 6mm. If the previous layer begins to firm up before the next is applied, scratch the surface and damp with clean water. Protect the surface until hard enough to traffic.
