The following FAQ or Frequently Asked Questions will help you to quickly answer any initial queries that you have. Please feel free to contact us if your query is not listed below.
- Where in the UK do you deliver?
We can deliver to most UK mainland addresses. If you are concerned that your delivery address is too remote, or inaccessible please feel free to contact us on 01606 214201 before placing your order. Deliveries to the Channel Islands can be made but will be subject to a delivery charge. We will however require 24 Hours to calculate the cost of this shipping charge, therefore please email your order requirements to firstname.lastname@example.org at least day prior to your placing an order.
- Can you deliver abroad?
At this moment in time we unfortunately cannot arrange delivery outside of the UK or Channel Islands. However we do sell to overseas customers who are willing to arrange their own shipping. We would be happy to discuss this option with you.
- How long does it take to deliver my items?
We aim to deliver to most UK mainland addresses within 3 working days from order placement. Once the order is placed and delivery has been scheduled, you may receive your order anytime during work hours 8am – 5pm on any day leading up to your estimated delivery date.
- How much does delivery cost?
We currently do FREE delivery within three working days for all orders over £200 (excl. Vat). If Next Day delivery is required, this will incur a delivery charge which will be calculated at the time of placing the order.
If a delivery is refused or unable to be made due to the customer, additional delivery charges will be incurred and become payable prior to being re-delivered.
- Where will the delivery be dropped off?
We can deliver to the kerbside only to domestic houses. Our drivers cannot enter private homes or carry materials to another part of your property.
On building sites, our drivers will deliver to your storage areas if practical and safe to do so. [this will be left to the drivers discretion]
Waiting time over and above 30 minutes will be charged at £50 per hour, or any part of an hour.
- Can I ask for a specific time and date for delivery?
We can try and fit in with your specific needs, but require that you make this known prior to placing the order. If you place the order first, we will of course try to accommodate your requirements, but unfortunately cannot guarantee that this will be possible.
- Does an order have to be delivered to the payment card address?
No, we can deliver to whatever address you specify at the time of order. We do recommend however that you the customer receive and sign for the order.
- Do I need to be on site to take delivery?
Someone will need to sign for the delivery, and this person should be over the age of 18. This person if not you, needs to be authorised by you, to check the delivery and approve the order is correct and sign for such.
- What should I do if my order is wrong or damaged?
We need to be informed straight away if you believe your order is wrong or incomplete. Your order should be checked carefully before you sign the Proof of Delivery and a note be made on the POD of any irregularities.

- Can I change my order once I have checked out?
If we can we would like to help with any last minute changes in an order, however if the order has already been picked and the delivery process started we unfortunately cannot make any adjustments. Typically you will become aware the process has started as you will have received your order acknowledgement or VAT Invoice by email.
- Can I cancel my order and get a refund?
If it becomes necessary for you to cancel your order you can do so and receive a full refund if done prior to the picking process. [see ‘Can I change my order once I have checked out?’ above for terms applicable]
If it becomes necessary after the picking process has started we will need to restock the items [see ‘Can I return items that I don’t use? below’ for the terms applicable]
- Can I return items that I don’t use?
It may be possible to return any unused items, however the viability of this will be at our discretion. If we agree to restock, the products and wrapping need to be in pristine condition so that they can be re-sold as new. Returning any items will incur at least a £35 + vat collection fee and a refund will be subject to a 50% restocking charge. Distance Selling Regulations do not apply to any orders placed through the website as we sell purely business to business, and by agreeing to our terms and conditions you are confirming that you are a business customer.
- Do I get a refund if the price reduces on the site between payment and delivery?
No, just as we won’t charge you anything extra if the prices increase on the site between the period of order and delivery.
- Can I order materials not found on the website?
Simply put, YES, if you want any materials that form part of your floor screed and below, we likely supply it. We can add items to the website within 24 hours if there is a need and will be happy to hear from you if you have any special requirements. - Will Screed Giant match prices found on other sites?
We like to think that we won’t need to price match as our prices are generally the best available. However if on a rare occasion one of our competitors is advertising any of the products we stock at a lower price than we are, we would love to hear about it and we will do our best to ensure you get the benefit of any discount we can offer.
