Description

Flowcrete Isocrete PP Fibres High-performance crimped monofilament 6 mm long polypropylene fibres.

Flowcrete Isocrete PP Fibres. To enhance the durability of cementitious screeds and toppings, it is essential to focus on inhibiting the formation of small cracks.

These cracks often arise from plastic shrinkage and settlement, which are typically caused by premature drying.

Addressing these factors can significantly improve the longevity and performance of these surfaces, ensuring they withstand the pressures of use and environmental conditions.

Enhanced Durability

The increased residual strength of the mix significantly improves durability.

This enhancement not only contributes to the material’s longer lifespan but also ensures that it can withstand various stresses and environmental factors over time.

As a result, structures built with this mix can demonstrate greater resilience, leading to reduced maintenance costs and enhanced performance in real-world applications.

Furthermore, the improved durability can provide peace of mind to both builders and end-users, knowing that the materials used are designed to last and maintain their integrity under challenging conditions.

Fiber Distribution

A special dispersing agent coats the fibres to achieve an even distribution throughout the mix. This method enhances the bond between the fibres and the matrix, providing additional stability.

Elimination of Reinforcement

With the improved fibre bond, the need for shrinkage control wire mesh reinforcement is eliminated. This not only simplifies the application process but also contributes to the screed’s overall efficiency.

Intended Use

Isocrete PP Fibres boost the performance of many products. These specially designed fibres thrive in K-Screed, Fast-K, Screedfast, Isogran, Isopol SBR, and other polymer-modified and conventional cementitious screeds and toppings.

By adding these fibres, you can enhance durability and tensile strength in your applications.

Incorporating Isocrete PP Fibres not only enhances the overall durability and flexibility of the screed but also significantly improves crack resistance and longevity.

As a result, these fibres become an essential addition for anyone aiming to achieve high-quality flooring solutions.

By adding these fibres to your screed mix, you’re not just investing in a material. You’re ensuring that your flooring can withstand the test of time and various stress factors.

This approach ultimately leads to fewer repairs and maintenance needs down the line. Enhancing the structural integrity of the flooring reduces the likelihood of future issues, providing peace of mind for your projects.

Thus, integrating Isocrete PP Fibres is not only a wise choice but also a practical one for achieving superior flooring outcomes.

As a result, contractors and property owners can benefit from long-lasting and reliable surfaces, ensuring that their investments last.

Important Note

It’s essential to remember that Isocrete PP Fibres should not be used as a replacement for structural steel reinforcement. They serve a different purpose within the mix.

Curing

To achieve optimal results with conventional screeds or toppings, it’s essential to follow standard curing practices closely. After finishing the surface, promptly cover it with a polythene sheeting and ensure that all joints are securely lapped.

Leave this covering in place for a minimum of 7 days to allow proper curing. For Isocrete proprietary screeds, refer to the relevant product data sheet for specific curing recommendations.
