DCP Strongcoat DPM is a two pack, solvent free, epoxy based damp proof membrane for use with the DCP range of surface coatings and toppings.
DCP Strongcoat DPM suppresses residual construction moisture and rising dampness in concrete and sand/cement screeds.
The substrate must be clean, dry, even, dense and free from oil, grease, dust and other contaminants.
A clean surface will ensure maximum adhesion between the substrate and the coating.
Concrete floors must have a minimum compressive strength of 25 N/mm².
This is crucial to prevent pinhole reflection and to achieve a smooth, seamless finish.
Unsound layers and contaminated concrete surfaces must be prepared using mechanical surface removing equipment.
Acid etching can be used only in well ventilated areas.
Strongcoat DPM applied at a coverage rate of 3.5 – 3.7 m²/kg to achieve approximately 200 micron DFT per coat
