Nexus ProJoint Contract SBR products are a water-based emulsion of a modified styrene-butadiene polymer, designed to enhance the strength and workability of sand and cement mortar. They can also be used for priming the surface of natural stone, cement slabs, or setts to promote adhesion.
With its non-foaming properties, Nexus ProJoint Contract SBR controls the density of the mortar, resulting in a significant increase in compressive, tensile, and flexural strength.
For peace of mind that your paving will be securely bedded, choose our High Performance or Contract SBR. Both options offer excellent freeze-thaw resistance and enhanced mortar durability.
ProJoint Contract SBR is ideal for applying directly to the underside of paving substrates to enhance adhesion. However, it’s essential to note that SBR is not suitable as a primer for porcelain paving; instead, ProJoint Porcelain Primer should be used for this purpose. When using this product, ensure you wear protective PVC gloves and eye protection for your safety.
Add the SBR liquid into the cement while mixing?
The addition rate depends on the application – as a guide, a typical addition is 200ml per 1kg of cement.
Please note that this addition will reduce the amount of water required in the mix and also decrease the pot life of the mixed mortar.
Always test in a hidden area before use, and only proceed when you are satisfied with the result.
