Mapei Mapenet 150

Description

Mapei Mapenet 150 Reinforced strengthening for:

• Mapelastic, Mapelastic Smart, Mapelastic Turbo or Monolastic. Used for waterproofing terraces, balconies, swimming pools, baths, shower cubicles, etc. with ceramic tile or stone finishes;
• Protective, flexible smoothing layers of Mapelastic, Mapelastic Smart, Mapelastic Turbo or Monolastic applied on internal and external cementitious substrates with micro cracks;
• Products of the Plastimul range, when applied on substrates with micro-cracks;
• Cementitious skim coats in general.

After you install and allow the waterproofing layer to set, you can reinforce that layer with Mapenet 150.

This is in line with the EAD specification 040016-00-0404, which took effect on October 28, 2020, replacing ETAG 004.

This reinforcement helps prevent cracks from developing due to shifts in the substrate or the tiled surface. Additionally, it streamlines the application of an even layer of the selected product, thereby boosting the system’s resistance to temperature fluctuations and wear. Mapei Mapenet 150 must be completely embedded in the layer to be reinforced. Apply the mesh as follows:

• Apply an even layer of the product.
• While it’s still fresh, please lay the Mapenet 150 mesh onto the surface and gently press it with the trowel to make sure it’s embedded.
• Wait for the layer to dry, and if necessary, apply a second layer of the product.
• Overlap each piece of Mapenet 150 by at least 5 cm.
