Resbuild HB Coating

Resbuild HB Coating is a two-part, solvent free epoxy floor coating which provides a hard-wearing, low
maintenance finish for industrial & commercial applications.

Substrate requirements

Concrete or screed substrate should have a minimum compressive strength of 25MPa and be free from laitance, dust and other contamination. The residual moisture content should not be more than 6% and the substrate should be free from rising damp and hydrostatic pressure.

Suitable mechanical preparation should be carried out prior to application of the system. If no damp proof membrane is present, then Resbuild DPM should be used prior to application of Resbuild HB Coating.

Application

The surface temperature must exceed 10°C during the application and curing process.

Pre-mix the coloured base component to a uniform consistency then mix the entire contents of the curing agent with the base. Mix using a slow speed electric mixer for 2-3 minutes until a uniform consistency has been achieved.

Once mixed, the coating should be applied by brush or roller. The coating can also be spread using a squeegee and finished by roller. Ensure the material is applied consistently and cross roll to minimise roller marks.

Coverage – 2 x coats of HB Coating @ minimum of 0.25kg/m²/coat
